Dry Stone Walling Across Canada Festival

Torhaveen Farms welcomed Dry Stone Wallers participating in the 2012 festival in Rigaud QC to be billeted at the West Farm and with Drummond & Amanda in our home.

Drummond was fortunate to take part in the event as an enrolled participant under the skillful eye of renown world class waller Normand Haddow, from Scotland.

The event was a showcase of enormous talent and skill: the double-arched bridge,  welsh-style wall and  Lea's magical dancing stone installation... experience it and you will understand!  Unfortunately, I am currently missing the memory card with the initial photos from the event.

Enjoy these photos from Thanksgiving weekend and prepare yourselves for the Canadian Dry Stone Walling Event tentatively coming to Torhaveen Farms in 2013!
