Shearing of the Sheep - an Annual Event

Before:

After:

The sheep are shorn, the wool has started to be skirted and we had a ball doing it!

We hope to have a wool skirting party later this fall as a fun opportunity for family and friends to come to the farm for a visit and corn roast and learn about fibre farming!

Drummond shears little yearling Ozzie under the watchful eye of master shearer Ross Creighton.

Drummond does an excellent job of removing Ozzie's delicate lamb fleece in one piece. Well done honey!

George & Amanda busy skirting Hamish's gorgeous fleece.
